ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST !

News that the “Melborn Hotel” on White Abbey Road in Bradford has been sold, and will no longer be a pub after January 2006, will come as a great shock to lovers of live music in West Yorkshire. It has been the home of the Topic Folk Club ( the oldest Folk Club in the world ) for the last eleven years, and hosted favourites such as Tom Napper & Tom Bliss, Vin Garbutt, Julie Ellison and Gordon Tyrrall to name but a few. The jam sessions on a Sunday teatime will always be fondly remembered for the unpredictability of what to expect, this was one of the reasons why it was so popular.

“Thanks and cheers for the memories !!”
